PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
Tennis Mixed Doubles House League
You will be randomly paired with members of lower, higher or the same level and may consist of men's, women's, or mixed doubles every week. All players joining the house league is expected to be at least at a 3.0 rating. See Tennis Canada - Self Rating Guide. Scoring might be different than usual due to limited time. House league organizers will notify all participants on the schedule and scoring. House League will run on Wednesdays from May 8th, 2024 to August 28th, 2024 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm (Tentative). The cost to play in the house league is $15/person, which will cover the supply of balls.
Pickle Ball House League
This year we are starting a Pickleball House League which will run on Mondays from May 6th 2023 to August 26th 2024 from 6:30pm till 9:30pm (Tentative). The cost to play in the house league is $15/person, which will cover the supply of balls. New members are encouraged to check out the house league programs as they are a great way to meet other members in a fun, friendly and competitive setting. Event organizers will contact the participants.
Tennis InterCounty Mixed Doubles League
The inter-county mixed doubles tournament consists of tennis clubs competing with other clubs in the Majors, A, B, and C Division. This year, MTC will be participating in the inter-county mixed A and C league WEST Division. The A team will be captained by Raymond Mahadeo and C team captained by Lorena Moraga. Please contact the team captains if you are interested in joining. See the inter-county mixed league site for more info. Schedule to be announced by captains.
Tennis Juniors Training
Junior program sessions will run for 10 weeks on Saturday mornings commencing on June 22nd 2024 till August 24th 2024, from 9:00am to 11:00am (Statutory holidays exempt). Juniors must be registered members of the club before sessions start. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced training. Juniors will be paired with the same skill level. Social Round Robins
Social Round Robins will run on Fridays from 6pm to 11:00pm commencing in May 10th 2024, participants are expected to provide own tennis balls, inter-county players are encouraged to come to practice. Only members will be allowed in the courts during Round Robins.
As per MTC By Laws, guests may play only when accompanied by a club member. If the same guest is invited to play more than three times, he/she will be expected to become a member and will not be permitted to use the courts until he/she becomes a member. Extenuating circumstances will be considered by the Board of Directors. Non-members are required to pay a guest fee of $5.00 per Adult, $3.00 per Senior/Student/Junior per visit. Court time is subject to availability and all Club rules apply.
Open House
Everyone is welcome to MTC Open House which will take place on Saturdays; April 20th 2024, May 11th 2024, Jun 22nd 2024, July 20th 2024 and August 24th 2024 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. All games are expected to last 30 minutes only or 1 game to accommodate all guests.
